The Ford Hundred series tractors included the 600, 700, 800, and 900 models. These models were introduced in 1954 and available in 1955 to 1957. The first were the 600 and 800’s, then the 700 and 900’s.

The 600 series was similar to the N-A-A, but featured a better hydraulic lift and a redesigned rear axle.

The 800 series had a 172 cubic-inch engine, which gave more power. It also had a larger and stronger rear differential housing than the 600 series.

The 700 series was a row crop tricycle version of the 600. The 900 was a tricycle version of the 800.

There were two transmission options, either a 4 speed or 5 speed.

This is how the model numbers were determined.

The first number:

Models with the first number of 6 were wide wheeled tractors with an adjustable front axle. They came with either a 134 cubic-inch gas engine or a LP gas engine.

Models starting with the number 7 were row crop tricycle type wheel configuration. They also came with either a 134 cubic-inch gas engine or LP gas engine.

Models starting with 8 were similar to the 600 series, but the larger 172 cubic-inch engine was standard.

The models starting with 9 were similar to the 700 series but included the larger 172 cubic-inch engines.

Now, for the second number:

if the second number was 2, the machine included a 4 speed transmission with no PTO or 3 point hitch.

If the second number was 3, the tractor had a 4 speed transmission, 3 point hitch, but no PTO.

Models with the second number of 4 featured a 4 speed transmission with a PTO and a 3 point hitch.

If the second number was 5, the tractor came with a 5 speed transmission with a 3 point hitch and a non live PTO.

If the second number was 6, this model came with a 5 speed transmission, a 3 point hitch and a live PTO standard.

The third number:

if the third number was 0, this represented the Hundred series of 1955 to 1957

if the third number was 1, this represented the “01” series from 1957 to 1962, which is a different series of tractors, which will be the subject of another video.
